Hand dyed with madder + lac.

Madder root is one of the oldest natural dyes and has been used for many centuries in Turkey, Iran and India in intricate carpet designs. It is produced using processes that respect the environment and comply with organic textile certifications.

Lac is a natural dye that is extracted from scale insects, Kerria lacca, found in Asia.

This yarn is perfect for making socks as the nylon makes it more hardwearing.
