Lomra - Peach Blossom

Hand dyed with sappanwood + madder.

Sappanwood is derived from Caesilpina sappan (otherwise known as Indian Redwood or Brazilwood) and is an authentic dye from the medieval period.

Madder root is one of the oldest natural dyes and has been used for many centuries in Turkey, Iran and India in intricate carpet designs.

Lomra is Irish for "fleece" and this yarn is grown, collected and spun in Ireland. Each skein comes with a traceability tag containing a QR code which leads you to a website with a list of the farmers where the wool was grown.

This yarn can be worn next to the skin and is perfect for knitting, crochet or weaving projects.
