Merino Twist - Sweet Sage

Hand dyed with rhubarb root + walnut + indigo.

Rhubarb is a special plant. The roots are used for dyeing and the leaves can be used for mordanting.

Black walnut shells contain tannin and are perfect for dyeing with.

The indigo extract used is from Tamil Nadu while I wait for my own dye plants to mature.

This yarn can be worn next to the skin and is perfect for knitting, crochet or weaving projects.

• Sage green with slight variegation.
